Hear and Obey – Chelsea Haemel
I was helping with a local food security project in St. James Town: the bulk food buying club. We buy high-quality food in bulk, as a large group, so the participating community members can get a good price. One of the foods we bought this month was mustard seeds. As I was packaging food for our club members, I was struck with how small the mustard seeds were. I was reminded of the verse that says if you have the faith the size of a mustard seed, you can move a mountain. I felt a prompting to share this with the people I was volunteering with, but I felt nervous. Eventually I shared that mustard seeds were in the Bible and the volunteers were intrigued, so I shared the verse. It was a short conversation, but I hope it sparked some curiosity.- Chelsea Haemel
